The Southeast Texas Arts Council hosted the first Montage Arts Festival, Oct. 17 and 18. The festival was held on the grounds of the Betty Greenberg Center for the Performing Arts, home of Beaumont Community Players. Street performers, including musicians, dancers, face painters and medieval knights, joined more than 30 vendors to promote the arts in Southeast Texas. The event opened Oct. 17 with a theater festival, and concluded with the Fest-Illusion costume contest.
