A basement full of books – novels, non-fiction, histories, biographies, cookbooks, crafts and more – awaits shoppers at the Friends of the Beaumont Public Libraries sale April 6 and 7.
The price is 10 cents a book, so bring a big tote to carry away your literary loot. The event will feature more than 10,000 books.
The event is at the Main Library at 801 Pearl St. in downtown Beaumont, starting with an early sale for Friends members from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., April 6.
Individuals who want to shop early can join the non-profit service group for $10 when they arrive, or get a family membership for $20.
The public sale is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., April 7.
Volunteers will be continually restocking tables from the array of donated items.
Money raised supports Beaumont public libraries and their literacy programs.
