For this month I wanted to bring back an album from the vault. Although this album is almost 10 years old, I still find myself singing it’s melodies and thanking it for its contribution to my musical path and career. Analog Rebellion’s Full Frontal is a fantastic album filled with passionate lyrics, fun guitar riffs, and groovy overall tracks. Dan Hunter is the main musician and songwriter for Analog Rebellion, formerly known for his work as PlayRadioPlay!. The album begins with an indie rock hit, “Nothing is Wrong”, and then moves into a more laid back groove with “Learned My Lesson” and “Use Your Big Boy Words (Demo 3)”. The album describes a lot of feelings we all may have had in our early 20’s; frustration, love (or lack thereof), and optimism for a better future. Hunter has always been a master with his orchestration incorporating the classic rock and roll sound with electronics you would find more on a Boards of Canada album. Full Frontal released on December 4th, 2012 on Glitsch Media. Hunter followed this album with a B Sides record (Get Bent) in 2013 and his last release to date was Ill’e Grande in 2014. Hunter is from the Lone Star State, and last I heard, resides around the Arlington/ DFW metroplex area. I highly encourage you to check out Analog Rebellion’s other releases as I believe he has created music anyone could enjoy.

Remember, stay safe, and keep spinning.
