Elizabeth Pearl Fontenot is a painter and printmaker currently living and working in Beaumont, Texas. She is an active resident at The Art Studio, Inc. in Beaumont. Fontenot completed her BFA in 2008 at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. In 2013 she graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont with an MA in Studio Art. Fontenot is a native of the Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana areas, and much of the subject matter in her work reflects flora and fauna found in these environments. Other themes in her artwork include representations of the natural world in domestic settings, and allusions to Catholicism and biblical literature.
