The intuitive process of artists has often been used to alter or translate what is observed, work from within, or to reject all conventions. I’m looking to put my guard down and react to what I cannot see, but believe is very much present.

To engage the community in the healing power of art, during National Suicide Prevention Month, The Art Studio Inc. invites you to submit your original art to The Art of Mental Health exhibition “Visions of Hope”.
Gumbo ClayFest kicks off with an opening reception on First Thursday, July 6, 5-8pm with complimentary gumbo made by Shakin’ and Bakin’ along with homemade potato salad, and fresh baked bread provided by members of the TASI Board of Directors. A great chance to meet the artists and share a casual meal!

As an early or mid-career artist you should be producing work on a regular basis and exhibiting at every chance you get. Each creation you make should be a more advanced version of the previous work. If you paint in only one spot you will never cover the canvas. In other words, keep moving forward! Realize that your arc of learning is a trajectory for the rest of your life.
