We are looking for artists and makers in the SETX region, both new and established, to show and sell their work at TASI’s holiday art vendor night!
Doug Jackson was born in 1953 with Cerebral Palsy and is unable to use his hands or legs– despite this, he discovered a passion for art at age 11 after watching his brother painting at an easel. His brother attached a paintbrush to the end of Jackson’s headband stylus and from then on, Jackson used this method to create his art.
Like a brooding hen, we incubate the fledgling artist, whatever their discipline. What we get is a seemingly infinite flow of individuals seeking something beyond everyday life.
Artwork is being donated by many local artists and collectors to be included in the auction. Bids will start as low as $20, so don’t miss this opportunity to start or grow your collection! All proceeds from art sales go directly to The Art Studio, Inc. to continue operations and make improvements.
On July 11-13, 2024, the public was invited to watch demonstrations, presentations, and art exhibitions by seven nationally-recognized ceramic artists at The Art Studio, Inc. in Beaumont, TX.
