METAMORPHOSIS: Art Through The Seasons
“In over 40 years serving southeast texas artists, The Art Studio has seen many seasons of change, and we wouldn’t still be here if we didn’t have the support of the community to keep thriving through so many different cycles in our world. We have learned, there is always another transformation on the horizon. This year’s Beaux Arts Ball theme gives homage to the arts’ ability to endure and adapt and persevere, no matter what the weather blows our way.”

In fitting with the theme, TASI will emerge with a whole new scheme of decorations to transform our humble space once again into a glamorous venue for the Ball. Event co-chair Misti Hill (of Indelible Art) likes to keep recycling as the main source of materials used when conceptualizing her artwork. Loads of donated paper, plastic, metal, and glass will be upcycled to create her vision for the night’s decor. The atmosphere will be made complete with original installations by local artists Kailee Viator, Meghan Cobb, Sheila Busceme, Kameron Acevedo, Pam O’Niel, Maurice Abelman, and more!
Guests wishing to interpret the theme with their outfits are invited to take part in the GRAND PROMENADE at 8pm, to show off their glamorous attire in front of the other guests. Costumes are optional but not required – formal dress is most appropriate.
Music and dance floor lighting provided by DJ Day Drunk. Event photography and complimentary portraits will once again be provided by Breann Bly Photography. A limited-edition t-shirt designed by Kevin Clay will be available exclusively at the event. Silent auction of curated artworks will be available for bidding until 10pm. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and donation-based bar service. An illustrious drag show during the event will feature Olivia Gardner, Aurora Spindle, and Wanda Lust.
