On July 11-13, 2024, the public was invited to watch demonstrations, presentations, and art exhibitions by seven nationally-recognized ceramic artists at The Art Studio, Inc. in Beaumont, TX.

The Art Studio, Inc. will host its third annual Gumbo ClayFest on July 11-13 in Beaumont, featuring nationally-recognized ceramists. The event includes demonstrations, workshops, and interactions with artists. Admission is by donation and no registration is needed. The festival celebrates ceramic arts and fosters community engagement, learning, and cultural enrichment.
Collectively there are virtually 200 years of experience in the stars of Gumbo ClayFest. That is a lot of knowledge in one place and it’s all available for aspiring artists, not just clay people, to learn from the vast array of experience these artists possess.
“The Alternative Show” open-entry exhibition is free and open to the public for viewing in the Main Gallery at The Art Studio, Inc. NOW through June 22.

The Alternative Show is specifically directed to the novice, outsider, and beginning artists along with the myriad of creatives, young and old, skilled, and not so much, who grace our walls with art. Not only is it a positive experience for everyone, but it’s also a chance to exhibit in a collective of works by people who share the love of art in all its joys and aberrations.
Works must be submitted in person at The Art Studio, Inc. in Beaumont within the designated entry dates and must be ready to hang, along with an entry form filled out legibly, or else they will not be accepted into the show. Exhibited works must be picked up promptly following the closing of the show.
