Artist’s statement
A series of 23 “excavation” drawings in wax crayon and ink, which explores the idea of hidden and lost cultures and histories buried that have become buried in the earth over the centuries. What would be revealed if we had high-intensity imaging systems that could see deep underground — and deep into our own past.
