Since it was founded in 1983, The Art Studio has filled a unique niche in the Southeast Texas arts community and continues the mission to nurture the creativity of people from all walks of life. The Studio provides affordable studio spaces for artists, educational programs for all ages, and free exhibitions where anyone can directly engage with art and artists to discover their own artistic vision. These vital programs would not be possible without the support of our members.

Individual membership starts as low as $35 per year!

Your membership to TASI grants you our monthly mailer which includes invitations to upcoming exhibitions, fliers for Band Nite and other special events, and each fresh issue of our newsletter STUDIO INK. Members are also eligible to enter our annual membership art exhibition “TASIMJAE” in April, and to be a vendor at our big sale events “Summer Spree” in August and “Shop-O-Rama” in December.

Many of the less exciting expenses that we always have are small items that must be purchased repeatedly throughout the year. If you’d like to help out with office supplies, maintenance and hospitality needs, or art class materials, please refer to our amazon wish list at the link above and/or contact us directly to see what we’re low on at any given time. A great way to help us keep operations running smoothly, for as little as a one-time purchase of $10-$20, even if you can’t make it by in person. It is always greatly appreciated!
